Wael is a director and Principal Solicitor at District Legal. He graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a Bachelor of Laws and was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2018, and a solicitor of the High Court of Australia in 2021. 

Following his admission, Wael began his career in the public sector as a graduate with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. He then went on to work for the Legal Aid Commission of New South Wales as a solicitor and quickly rose to the ranks of Senior Solicitor.

Wael is a dedicated and experienced advocate who has advised and represented clients in various proceedings in Courts across New South Wales, including State and Federal Courts. He demonstrates the proficiency to give you genuine advice and the determination to fearlessly represent you in obtaining the best possible results. He has a proven track record of achieving favourable outcomes for his clients through meticulous preparation, strategic advocacy, defying convention and effective negotiation skills.

Wael’s experience in criminal law extends to complex matters involving attempted murder, manslaughter, assaults, armed robberies, sexual assault, kidnapping, firearms offences, drug supply and possession, driving offences, fraud and white-collar crime, and more. 

Wael also has considerable experience in complex family law matters involving domestic violence, divorce and separation, parenting and children’s arrangements, financial and property settlement, and more.

Wael also works closely with some of the country’s most highly regarded experts, barristers including Senior Counsel, medical personnel including mental health clinicians, and other stakeholders.
