Wael is a Director and Principal Solicitor at District Legal. He graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a Bachelor of Laws and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2018, and a Solicitor of the High Court of Australia in 2021. 

Following his admission, Wael began his career as a Graduate with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. He then went on to work as a Solicitor at the Legal Aid Commission of New South Wales and quickly rose to the ranks of Senior Solicitor.

Wael is a dedicated and experienced advocate who has advised and represented clients in a range of complex State and Federal matters across various Court jurisdictions. He demonstrates proficiency in providing genuine advice and determination in fearlessly representing clients and has a proven track record of achieving favourable outcomes for his clients through meticulous preparation, strategic advocacy, defying convention and effective negotiation.

Wael brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in criminal law, having acted in numerous complex and high-profile matters involving indictable crime including homicide and terrorism, as well as summary crime.

Wael is also experienced in complex family law matters involving domestic violence, divorce and separation, parenting and children’s arrangements, financial and property settlement.

Wael works closely with some of the country’s most highly regarded barristers, experts and other stakeholders in assisting his clients.
