Abdul is a Director and Principal Solicitor at District Legal. Having graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a Bachelor of Laws, he was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2018, and a solicitor of the High Court of Australia in 2024.
Abdul's experience spans a broad range of jurisdictions and industries. Abdul commenced his legal career advising and acting in matters involving civil and commercial disputes. Following his admission, Abdul worked as a Solicitor with the Legal Aid Commission of New South Wales, and ultimately as a Senior Solicitor.
Abdul is a sophisticated lawyer with a meticulous attention to detail. He is well renowned within the profession for his resilience and ability to apply legal intricacies to secure justice for those he represents.
Abdul's experience in criminal law extends to securing favourable outcomes in a wide range of criminal and traffic matters including hundreds of successful bail applications, not guilty verdicts in complex hearings, and successful mental health diversions. He also has in-depth knowledge of domestic violence provisions.
Abdul's experience in civil law includes commercial leasing, conveyancing, visa cancellations, refusals and applications, tenancy and housing disputes, consumer disputes and guardianship matters, amongst a general civil practice.
